Born in Port Jefferson, New York, Michael A. Puppelo always knew he wanted to be a lawyer. He grew up with strong community values and the desire to help people. Michael A. Puppelo graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2014. He brings to the firm over a decade of litigation experience in different areas of law.

While at Cardozo School of Law, he was began his legal career as a student intern at the Bet Tzedek clinic, where he assisted helping elderly and disabled people with their disability and housing benefits. After graduation, he worked was hired to work with New York State’s Access to Justice Project, helping consumer debtors in the New York courts and pro se parties with uncontested divorces.

In his next position, Michael helmed many cases for over eight years in-house, defending an insurance company and its insureds. This experience paved the path for him to join Garruto Law Group, where he can advocate for injured parties and assist them in getting the compensation they deserve. He proudly brings to the firm over a decade of successful litigation experience within many different niches of law.

Prior to working at the Garruto Law Group, Michael worked eight years in house defending an insurance company and its insureds. He now uses the experience and skills he learned to advocate for the injured. Outside of his professional life, When Michael is not on the golf course, he is spending time with his wife and two children.
